The Making of our Rustic Shower & Toilet

Outdoor glamping shower

Well, we bought a camping shower tent, but it just didn’t look right, so after a scout around behind the shed, and a few head scratches, we decided an open air with rustic iron and wood look was the way to go. The shower is nestled between three blackwood trees with a river stone base, and (after a few rainy days) an iron roof. The califont powered shower has a moveable magnetic head, (so you can move around and make the most of the view), and a sink for washing up.

Glamping composting toilet

As with the shower, rustic iron and wood was chosen for the construction, with a privacy door that allows you a “view while you poo” of the orchard.
Our non-chemical composting loo offers all the familiarity and comfort of your loo at home, and is entirely off grid and eco-friendly, and enables us to process waste and return it to nature as intended.
unlike many composting systems ours also allows urine to be processed without separation so they will handle numbers 1’s and 2’s, but we would ask that the gentlemen proceed to the nearest designated lemon tree to cut out the middleman.

Hut composting toilet

The outdoor shower maintains your modesty (as long as you pull the curtain…) and allows you a taste of nature while you relax. It features a califont powered hot water shower, subtle LED lighting, an old style sink bowl and jug, and a composting loo.
